Week 5: Summarise your thoughts
On the whole, I think this is a good learning experience. Thousands of people are using the Web 2.0 tools and it's good to keep up. Sites like "Delicious" which helps you to bookmark your favourite websites is helpful and so is "LitLovers". LitLovers has LitClub with many ideas that are good for us in the Readers'Services.
Discovery Resources
I have skimmed the two sites that are recommended "StumbleUpon" and "Newsvine" and I think they are quite interesting. I have joined both. The section on computers in "StumbleUpon" is quite good and features sites like "Pirate Bay" and the "14 Most Useful Web Design Cheat sheets.." etc. which are very interesting. The Music section is also very good and includes all kinds of music. The Newsvine site is also good and very informative.

New look to my blog
I have changed the appearance of my blog and renamed it. It was getting rather a tired look and needed rejuvenating.

Week 5: Social networks
I joined delicious last year while doing the previous Web2.0 programme. I bookmarked my favourite websites and I have added some more. I have also added the Librarians favourites to the website.

Friday 20th February 2009
I did one of the literary courses: "The Novel: a mirror of the world", and had a look at some others. I think they are quite good and I am sure they would of helpful to students and any other customers interested in literature.

I think "The Book Thief" would be a good one to discuss in a book club because the subject is one that interests a lot of people and the heroine overcomes many odds and survives in terrible circumstances.
